Description
Expansion Strip Joint has been specifically designed for use as an expansion joint in industrial box gutter systems. Unlike traditional methods that require the ends of adjoining gutters to be boxed with a separate bridge flashing, the Expansion Strip Joint creates a flexible, watertight connection that allows unrestricted water flow while accommodating thermal expansion and contraction.
Manufactured from premium UV-resistant EPDM rubber with an aluminium support system, the Expansion Strip Joint is designed to withstand Australia’s harsh environmental conditions. Aquarius states the EPDM material is suitable for continuous temperatures up to 115°C and has demonstrated long-term resistance to UV degradation in Australian conditions beyond the product warranty period.
The system is suitable for aluminium, Colorbond®, Zincalume®, stainless steel, copper and zinc box gutters when installed in accordance with Aquarius installation instructions and using a neutral cure silicone sealant. Acetoxy cure silicone is not recommended.
