Description

The Mechanical Galvanised Secure Ring provides a permanent tamper-proof fastening solution for hex head self drilling screws used in commercial, industrial and public infrastructure applications.

Manufactured from mild steel with a mechanical galvanised finish, these secure rings are installed over the hex head of compatible self drilling screws and deformed using the Secure Ring Installation Tool. Once installed, the secure ring completely covers the hex drive, preventing conventional tools from removing the fastener.

Designed for use with AS3566 self drilling screws, the secure ring system provides a simple yet highly effective method of deterring tampering and unauthorised removal. The mechanical galvanised finish offers excellent corrosion resistance for outdoor and exposed environments.

For installation, simply place the secure ring over the screw head and use the IRSMSZTS-037 installation tool with a mallet to permanently deform the ring into position.

Installation Instructions

1. Install the self drilling screw as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Place the secure ring over the hex head of the screw.
3. Use the IRSMSZTS-037 Secure Ring Installation Tool.
4. Position the installation tool over the secure ring.
5. Strike the installation tool with a mallet to deform the secure ring.
6. Continue striking until the ring fully covers the hex head and sits flush with the surface.
